What remarkable letters from your students. It is amazing how 6 weeks of positive reinforcement, dynamic classroom environment and great curriculum delivery can impact adult learners for a lifetime. The confidence, trust, skill and attitude you instilled in these students is amazing and we hope to continue to foster it throughout their experience with us. This is something to be really proud of to get unsolicited letters like these from your class.
What an exceptional job and superb connection with these students.
Thanks for going all in to make both them and CSI Gurnee great.
Phenomenal work indeed.

I really enjoyed this class and I am happy I started here. My first impression of this class was it would be 2 overwhelming weeks. Only because of my late start it seemed like I was never going to be able to catch up on the work. I also thought that the instructor Mr. Herbert was a mean teacher. But it turned out that he was a very friendly. There wasn’t a day that I felt like I didn’t belong here.
I don’t think there is anything I would change. I like the fact that we can email the teacher at any time to turn in our assignments. The flexibility to work on our assignments, from anywhere and at any time we like. These 2 weeks were great I learned so much. Not just about the material but about myself and my classmates. I strongly believe once the 8 months are done with I will be a very different person not just career wise but also personality wise. I want to be who I am when I am with my family and close friend. That one that isn’t shy to say what she thinks.

Dear Mr. Herb,
.... You pushed me hard and I made it through the first six weeks. You also gave me the confidence to finish school. I don’t know how to thank you. I know now that I am able to finish school as an honor student and to continue with my passion. I have never worked this hard in school before. The school system just pushed me through school and I believe that I didn’t learn anything while I was in elementary and high school. I thank you so much for giving me the work and the challenge to be able to have a better career. "
Sincerely,
Liliana
Dear Mr. Herbert Erlbach,
I would like to thank you for your heartfelt assistance and guidance I received while being a student in your class. As an older adult and enduring the many challenges life hands you, your devotion and dedication has been invaluable. You define and lead through example. While being a non-traditional student and balancing life you taught and mentored me to be the very best in all that I do. At times, when I felt doubtful you reminded me to reach deep within myself while reminding me that I am my best resource and helped me restore my confidence and peace within myself.

After having been out of school for so long, I was excited to be a student again! This class was the “opening salvo” for the next 8 months of scholastic battle! My favorite thing about this class is the atmosphere which nurtures and enables the learning process. Mr. Erlbach pushes each student to the limit of his/her capability every step of the way and takes delight in each student’s accomplishment, big or small. His approach is that of positive reinforcement and that alone inspires the student to do more. Another trait I like about him is that he sincerely cares about his students, has compassion and sees every one of us as a unique individual regardless of color, race, religion or nationality.
He always listens to what the student has to say in class and encourages discussion of the learning material. His criticisms are always of the positive kind. He always goes out of his way to extend a helping hand to a student in need. I can go on and on about his endearing ways and one thing I know for sure is that I will always be grateful to have had the experience of knowing him and having had him as my teacher.

Thanks again, Brittany Mr.Herb, I just wanted to drop a line to say thanks for being a great teacher and motivator. I appreciate it so much, it helps when i am feeling down, the words of wisdom you gave me.. Thanks again, Tammy My favorite thing about this class was meeting Mr. Herb and my other classmates. Everyone was open and we all got to know each other and were like family, we could talk about anything and joke around and have fun. I am really going to miss this class everyone helped others that were having a hard time in class or personal life and everyone has that persons back and are willing to help. . Altogether I loved this class and getting to know my classmates and of course Mr. Herb is awesome I give him a ton of credit he did an awesome job dedicating most of his time to his students, he is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. When I first started you class, I thought you was going be a straight to the point get over it with and move on teacher. And I just wanted to get this class over with. I was shy, quiet, didn't have good writing skills and spoke low. I must admit I
The first time I met Mr. Herb I thought he was going to be a tough instructor. After learning about him and being in his class I've come to find that he is a tough instructor but he also has a heart. I never knew how much I could get out of his class. I not only found out about my personality but I found out how it can help me in the career choice I've chosen. Not to get emotional but even when my car went out and I wanted to give up and drop out of school I remembered what Mr. Herb told me "Always remember that someone has it worse than you don't give up" It was the reassurance I needed. Mr. Herb cares about his students and he shows . it through his teaching. I appreciate everything I've learned in his class and I will carry the professional skills I've learned with me for the rest of my life. Thank you Mr. Herb, I'm truly going to miss your class.
